Over the last four weeks I have been taking a course in photography, and truly have learned quite a bit. For this feature picture I thought it would be fun to take one of the photos I did for class and run it through the brush stroke filter in my graphic software, and then I added a canvas texture to it in order to give it a painted feel. The original picture was taken at Butler University by the landscaping around Holcomb Observatory.

Summer as a child was a time for warm weather, playing outside and laughing while getting twirled by your mommy. Nothing much as changed except Mary and I are doing the twirling now as Liam laughs and gets dizzy. Here is one of those rare pictures an amateur can get that is worth a thousand words.

I cannot believe three years has already past since Liam joined our family where does time go? I was able to capture this family portrait on his third birthday before everyone came over for his party, and he actually did a good job holding still for a few seconds.
